Recording studio acoustic design for L’Idem Creative Arts School in Perpignan, creating professional facilities for education, recording, music production and audiovisual creation.
L’Idem Creative Arts School is an international school specialising in the training of professionals for the creative and digital industries, covering disciplines such as animation, audiovisual production, sound, graphic design, video games and digital production. At its Perpignan campus, L’Idem operates an extensive audiovisual production complex, with more than 1,500 m² dedicated to sound, recording, film, video, photography, animation, motion design, VFX and post-production.
Acousthink was responsible for the recording studio acoustic design, creating professional recording facilities conceived to meet the specific requirements of music and audiovisual production within an educational environment.
Studio 1 provides 32 m² of usable floor area, with flush-mounted main monitors and direct visual communication with the main recording room. The Live Room, with a floor area of 57 m² and a height of 6 metres, is the main recording space. Its dimensions make it suitable for recording full bands and small instrumental ensembles, as well as recording sessions for music videos and other audiovisual productions. The facility also includes a dedicated machine room housing the studios’ technical equipment.
Studio 2, with 25 m² of usable floor area, provides a second control and production environment with direct visual communication with the booth. The 24 m² booth adds considerable flexibility to the facility. In addition to operating as an independent recording room, its size allows it to be used as an additional music production room.
The layout of the different spaces enables multiple recording and production workflows, providing L’Idem with a versatile professional environment for both education and the development of music and audiovisual projects.
