S’Estudi

Located in the middle of Blanes, we find the new “Se Estudio” facilities: a private mixing and production studio equipped with the most exquisite selection of analog and digital devices. SSL Duality, PMC M2BS listeners or Prism converters are just some of the elite names that equip this studio. The Studio is also capable of recording voice, guitars, keyboards,… in the room attached to the sound control.

Conceived and designed for mixing and post-production, Se Estudio is a challenge of integration and acoustics. This is an LEDE concept, with a reflection-free zone created for main listening, where low frequency control has been achieved through tuned membranes and broadband absorption with multi-layer absorbent panels. Diffusion is achieved through a QRD diffuser that works from 400Hz to 7000Hz. The back wall of the room is made up of a closet with sliding doors that combines acoustic treatment (QRD diffuser and absorption) and the storage capacity for microphones, wiring, etc. Behind these sliding doors we also find two bass traps to have better control of the low frequency.

The main listening is made up of a PMC MB2S stereo system, tri-amplified using Bryston 6BSST stages, and with a Klein&Hummel ProC28 processor that includes an FIR filter for final room adjustment. For an optimal reproduction of the main system, it was decided to embed the boxes within a high-mass multilayer system, which would later also be integrated into the room’s textile decorative system. To complement the listening, a second K&H system is incorporated consisting of a stereo pair O300D + Sub O810, also governed by another K&H processor, which allows checking the validity of the mixes in a system with subwoofers.
